Day 8 Poe's birthday

January 19, Wednesday.

We wait in the dark The Poe Toaster.

People are all around the cemetery for a while now, waiting too, but in the cold. At its peak, there were 20 to 25 people outside the gates of the cemetery.
We did not wait long before a Poe Toaster to appear fails to appear authentic. That's my man who spotted him at the gate of the Hall.
Quick, everyone runs in the dark to get together before the window where we see Poe's grave, that of the back. Me who does not know the area well, I run right into a glass, which I projected violently back. Sounded a bit, I'm still, while Jeff Jerome worried waltz after seeing me in the hallway.

back to our posts recently, a second Poe Toaster happens, more youthful in the process, but whose face was completely covered, much like the invisible man: p
same path as the previous one. We will still see his ritual. Still lacks a little something (I do not know). Some people followed him when he leaves the cemetery. According to Jeff Jerome, it would be a woman, a matter of approach.

Later, a third Poe toaster undoubtedly a fake too, because she is a woman, dressed normally comes. Yet it has failed to take the right path, but something stopped him. Ritual again that we all follow through the window.

Doubt moved when, later, while fatigue was beginning to be felt, the person stationed at the famous window to the rear is calling us : Someone was approaching the grave. Mystery about how he entered. Nobody has seen or inside or outside!
Unfortunately, the sign is not secret, and Jeff would have "recognized", he watches every Jan. 19 since 1977.

A team of two journalists press (Associated Press) came to Westminster Hall and Jeff asked us if we wanted to be interviewed well. We said yes and they came to ask us some questions;)
Around 5:30, Jeff Jerome said completed the day before and came out to accompany other lookouts on Poe's grave. He told us we could stay inside if we wanted, but we left too. A small crowd, and the two journalists were there, about where Poe was buried the first time, laying roses and letters.

Then a little trip to the actual tomb, where a strong light before us. A few minutes of meditation

then goes out and discovers that the bright light was that of television journalists (ABC 2 News) that were a report on the vigil and the Poe Toaster who had not come. When Jeff Jerome told them we were French and they had come to Poe, the journalist wanted to interview us too. I give you the video:

We then returned, he was about 6 o'clock in the morning. We slept 2-3 hours, then breakfast buffet, and then re-sleeping.
The day was then spent in a hotel. My man worked on his training, and I have read and I rested, especially the knee, shoulder and temple rights were all bruised: /

Experience mysterious Full of adrenaline, in a playful mood and dark at times (the church in the dark of night is something), and is not given to everyone!
It was a great privilege to participate, from the inside, even if the real Poe Toaster has not come.
