January 27 Thursday night in Newark.
On the bench, not easy to sleep, it's hard, there's no way stop, and every quarter of an hour two announcements over loud speakers, without stopping:
A woman's voice:
"This is a special announcement!
for Security Reasons, please keep your luggage and all packages with You Until all times they're checked. Unattended baggage Will Be Immediately removed for inspection and damages Gold May Be Destroyed.
for Security Reasons, do not accept packages or bags That Do Not Belong To You. "
(We hear a piece in the second video, below ...) and 1 or
2 minutes plus tard, une voix d'homme :
" Ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of the more than 50.000 transportation security officers accross the country, thank you for being our partners in security. And for your safety TSA have instituted new screening procedures at the various check points. Please take a moment to read the materials available about these procedures and your rights as a passenger.
We appreciate your patience, as we all work together to keep travels safe.
Thank you for your cooperation. "
On en entend aussi un bout dans la quatrième vidéo, plus bas ;) )
J'ai entendu un steward dire à des hôtesses que les routes étaient bloquées, qu'aucun Bus or taxi could not access the airport. We learned later that some planes were canceled or delayed because the master or mate could not reach to the airport because of snow.
we're back to our dock, where you can not lie, but where the seats are more comfortable.
We sleep a little.
the night or toward morning, I do not know, I go to a boarding counter where there was a line some time soon ... I watched a good time and when he remained a person, hop!
There I presented our case (of course not unique) a very nice gentleman too. He printed two tickets for a flight in the evening at 18:15.
So we had a new flight for the next night!
Hold still, all day. Breakfast, take away, for lack of space at Starbucks Coffee and taken on "our" bench).

| (Red: canceled flights, the rest would be soon: p) |

There we witnessed a total farce, a complete lack of organization where you had people moving from one gate to another to finally tell them 10 minutes later it was right here ...
We saw a Asian lady come running, crying and howling at the gate because she missed her plane had thought after all this time, but that the delay of the aircraft was indicated anywhere.
Frankly, we do not congratulate Incompetent Airlines, um C * ntinental Airlines, for their organization was really sad!
Vehicles carrying luggage or food, etc.. had great difficulty moving ... Sometimes it was comical:
Finally, we again changed gate 2 or 3 times the evening. The plane was still delayed. But we finally get in! And, after another wait to defrost the wings, it took off! Hooray!
Fortunately, the crew was nice. I even had
to drink more because a flight attendant had spilled some sauce on my jeans (jeans that had already taken straight all alone for a while: p (Yes, because our luggage had also traveled from vehicle to vehicle or cargo in the hold, and suddenly, there was nothing to change or wash ...))
The flight went fairly quickly, I had to sleep a lot: D
Day 17: Friday, January 28: arrived in France at Roissy Charles de Gaulle. One of the first things I did after retrieving luggage is to go brush my teeth! : D
My parents came to pick us ... And we slept well in the car also: D
And now, here ends the story of our American journey.
I hope you enjoyed it;)
