How Long Is Cake Mate Icing Good For

Day 15: false start

Wednesday, January 26.
Snow!

The snow has begun to fall that day and louder.

Our plan to go see the Grand Dame is once again fell into the water. As it snowed more, we decided to go earlier to the airport:

We arrive at Hertz to drop off the car. Everything happens so easily at the finish. We left the car with the keys above, we note the date and time, the number of miles on the clock and if it was full (we had just leaving the hotel).
It goes counter and a lady gives us the invoice and the amount of the bond repaid directly to the account.

Then we take the shuttle (air train) that takes us to Terminal C at Newark Liberty.
As our flight was scheduled about 20h45 and it was only about noon, we waited in the lobby for some time: of course we could not register immediately.
Then we ate a salad that we had the night before (because part of the registration counters and a seller of magazines and candy bars, there was nothing else in this hall)
And we waited, reading, viewing (especially the people and pigeons) from time to time we walked, mostly to see if our flight was announced ... And we watched the snow never stopped falling.
In short, it was busy as could be ...

(Imitation of pigeon by my man!)
When our flight was finally displayed on the screens, we quickly headed to the relevant registration desk (even if it was not very well indicated, 5 or 6 hours of waiting, we had the time to find;))
His Girl Window was very friendly and gave us almost three places by telling us that there would be an empty seat between us ("Super , we'll be a little longer! ", was told).

arrived at our terminal, one line to the toilet, then eat a little (not too much because we were having a meal on the plane). There, hop, power outage in Terminal C. .. Wow, that's reassuring! D

But it was pretty funny, people were taking pictures (we also elsewhere), small cars had their headlights on (some asked drivers to stop to use their light instead of flash) was quite good-child)
few emergency lights were still lit.
We went to our gate and waited again, the flight was postponed for three quarters of an hour.
Snow was still falling ...

The light was then turned on.
At one point, people were still on the plane to our dock came out ... And then we began to ask questions. Especially since throwing glances screens all day, we saw that many had had a huge delay ...
is where the wait, the real, has begun ...
We were told to change the gate (well, we have seen on screen before it is said the speaker). New door to another terminal end, of course, otherwise it's not funny ...
Here we go. From time to time before they close, I go to bookstores, to stroll a bit ...
We eat too, for good this time.
And as usual ', we take care: revisions for my man, reading to me.

A force to push the start time, a little before midnight, it was stated that the airport was declared closed: more flying until noon the next day ... We were also told to leave the gate. But our flight was still not canceled ... So we went on a bench to try to spend the night ...
